During last week we have been working in a new redesign to improve our DB and system security, restricting users from having too much DB permissions, encoding passwords, etc.
Today, after days of brainstorming, my boss old me this on an email:
Please be aware – we can burn up many hours, discussing various ideas we have. That's okay but we have to keep our focus. Unless we write code, the job doesn't get done!
And I totally agree. You can talk and design and redesign as much as you want, but until developers (we) code it, it's nothing else but very good ideas.
Today I think different. I think reviewing, discussing, analyzing and over all, engineering is the best way to get the best product you can ever produce. You know... if you just put one brick on top of each other, you may end up building a house but, would you live in it?
Engineering is the way to go :)
